2008 Scholastics Reminders and Dates


Continued Reminders:

1.  Registration fees will be $25 per teacher (RIAEA members) and $40 per teacher (RIAEA non-members).
2.  Fine Art and Photography Portfolios will be $5 per entry (up to 5 entries per teacher).
3.  All Portfolios (Fine Art and Photography) will be digital as it was last year. 
4.  All 2D artwork MUST be matted when dropping it off.  Any unmatted artwork will not be accepted.
5.  Artwork containing glass may now be submitted.
6.  Each artwork must have THREE COPIES of the entry form attached to the back of artwork.  Tape ONLY the top of entry form to artwork, each separately.
7. Limit up to 5 individual student artworks per teacher.
8. Up to 5 Fine Art or Photo Portfolios per teacher. Maximum of 2 artworks per individual student, per school.
9. No wooden frames of any kind - Stretched canvas okay.
10. Pastels, charcoals and other fragile media MUST be protected with a fixative AND liftable paper or plastic covering - tape only top to back of matt.
11. Mixed Media category must be more than a combination of just drawing and painting - other media must be utilized. Books are mixed media.
12. 2D no larger than 32"x40", including the matt - 3D not to exceed 130" total, maximum weight is 30 pounds.
13. RIAEA reserves the right to disqualify any work that does not meet submission requirements.

Pick Up of ALL Artwork (Gold, Silver and AV) – Friday, February 29 from 3:30-5:30pm
No artwork will be released prior to this date and time.
 

The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers and RIAEA are moving toward online submissions and digital entries in order to begin making the process more convenient for teachers and easier in handling more artwork at the regional level. We ask for your patience through this transitional time as we guide you through the new process.
