This book did not hold my interest at all.  I stopped reading it half-way through.

Stuart, Stuart, Stuart - all he can ever do is get grounded.  One time he might lose computer for a week.  Another time it might be no phone.  The list

goes on and on. Ever since his father died life hasn't been the same. Stuart has a name for his mother - DragonWoman.   There's only one more punishment

Stuart's mom can think of ... but will she really do it?  Read this exciting book and find out!

Among all the R.I. Children book awards books I read, I choose Busted by Betty Hicks as one of my favorites. This realistic fiction book is about Stuart Ellis always getting busted by his mom. He gets busted for the littlest things, like riding with the neighbor’s son who is 18 and has had his license for 2 years. The main characters are Stuart, Mack (Stuarts best friend), and Stuart’s mom. The characters really help the story move smoothly. The picture on the cover really explains the story because of the great illustrations. I really enjoyed this book and I recommend this book to 6 graders who like funny books about kids our age.

In the book “Busted” by Betty Hicks, Stewart is the main character and he is going to lose his soccer for good! But because of his friend Mack all of this is going to change. This is a book for someone who likes realistic fiction and anyone who likes soccer. In rating it, I would give “Busted” 5 stars .The book’s illustrations are not important to the story because you can understand the book fine.” Busted” is a really good book.
