Gregor the Overlander
by

Suzanne Collins

Grades 4-6

Gregor falls into a world inhabited by underlanders.  He goes on a quest to save his dad and the city of Regalia.  Little does he know his quest will change his life forever.  Gregor has many adventures, but you'll have to read the book to hear about them.

This book was about an eleven year old kid named Gregor who follows his sister through a gate to the laundry room of their New York apartment.  Also there are giant animals.

Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins is a fantasy book. It is about when Gregor?s dad is missing and Gregor goes to find him. The characters are Gergor, his dad, his mom, and his sister. The setting is in his house, in a small town, and outside. There are no illustrations. If you like fantasy books with a lot of adventures then this is the book for you.  I would give this book a 5 (a 5 being the highest.) Read it to find what happens!

The setting takes place in New York in the summertime and about the present time. There are no illustrations in the book. I like this book. The book Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins is a fantasized book about a boy and his baby sister.  In the book they end up falling through a hole in the back of their dryer, and into another world.  Their names are Gregor and Boots.  Every animal the two meet in this book are oversized.  This great chapter book has no pictures.  I think this book is great and I would recommend it to anyone in the 5th-6th grade because some of the words are hard to read.  Gregor the Overlander is awesome.

Giant rats, spiders, cock roaches, and bats!  What’s going on in this “underworld?  Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins is a fast-paced fantasy book with such vivid descriptions, you can picture the scenery instead of needing pictures.  After following his sister through an air vent, he finds himself on the brink of a war and only one person can help him.  He is told that he is the savior or “overlander” and will bring peace to the Underland.  Follow Gregor in this epic adventure and see if he will triumph!

Gregor the Overland by Suzanne Collins is a fantastic fantasy book about an eleven-year-old boy named Gregor.  He and his baby sister Boots find themselves in a place called the Underland.  Fortunately, Gregor and Boots end up in the beautiful city of Regalia, which is filled with pale-skinned and violet-eyed humans.  The humans, bats, and cockroaches may be good, but the evil rats with their even more evil King Gorger play a part in a prophecy that will make Gregor muster up all of his strength to fulfill.  I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good adventurous fantasy book.

My book review is about Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins.  This book is about eleven year old Gregor and his two year old sister, Boots.  Gregor stumbles into a world under his New York city apartment.  There is a prophecy that Gregor has to fulfill.  I would recommend this book to third graders and up because second  graders and younger would have nightmares about giant cockroaches.
