Love That Dog was a good, short, read.   In the back are some good poems.  I think they were written by real poets.

"Love That Dog" is an unusual book.  It is about a boy who doesn't want to write poems. He thinks it is a girl thing. He later starts talking about his dead dog. He then starts writing poems and keeps it a secret. I would recommend this book to anybody  who loves dogs. Also, in the back of the book it includes poems that were mentioned in the book.

I recommend  Love That Dog  because it is easy to catch on to. If you like poems you'll like this book. My favorite part is  when the kid gets the author to come to his school.

Love That Dog is written in poems. Love That Dog is about a boy named Jack who writes poems and he told his teacher she could put it on the board but not to put his name on it. Jack said he used too many of Mr. Walter Dean Myers words on it. Jack thought Mr. Walter Dean Myers would get mad. Do you think he will get mad?

I liked the book and I loved the poems.

Love that Dog is a book about a boy named Jack who hates poetry but is so good at it. His family and Jack go to buy a pet. Jack finds a yellow dog that wags his tail a lot and drools. Then a tragedy happens. If you like poetry I strongly recommend it to you.
