Miss Alaineus:  A Vocabulary Disaster
by
Debra Fraiser
Grades 3-5

I would like to tell you about the book Miss Alaineus, by Debra Fraisher.  This book is a fiction
book.  The main character is Sage.  What happened is Sage was absent on vocabulary day.  The story takes place at her school, at home and at the supermarket.  This book is incredibly funny.  I'd give this book two thumbs up and a five star rating.  So if you like books that are tremendously funny go to the library and get it.

This was a very good book my favorite part is when they all laugh at her. They laugh at her because she got a word wrong on her test thing. She said her word and it was wrong so they called her Miss. Alaineus because that was her word but it was a different word really. It
was a very good book though.

The story, Miss Alaineus, is a great book! It's about a girl who misses a day of school and gets her
vocabulary words off the phone from her best friend, Star.  When she has to go back in front of the class to say the vocabulary words, she messes the vocabulary words up! She makes a fool out of herself, but she makes it up when the class has a vocabulary words pageant and she is MISS ALAINEUS.  And after that, every thing turns out okay. I would say that this book is an easy reader (around ages 8 to 10.)  And I recommend this book for all ages.

I think this is very cool and funny. This book is about alot of things but they're all good. It's about
a girl who makes a mistake on a vocabulary word Miscellaneous. She thinks the word is Miss Alaineus.
She gives the definition of, the women on the green spaghetti box whose hair is the color of uncooked pasta, and turns into spaghetti at the end.

When she finds out that Miss Alaineus is the wrong word for miscellaneous the whole class laughs at her
and she is very upset about it. When she takes part in a play she remembers her mom's advice "Every mistake has some gold in it". She wins the top  prize in the play for Miss Alaineus queen of all Miss Alaineus things.

This book was a very funny book.  It is called Miss Alaineus.  It is about a girl who gets sick on vocabulary day.  Her friend calls her and tells her the words.  She has to write the meaning of each word and one is "miscellaneous."  She  thinks  of  her mom  when  she  went  grocery shopping.  She  remembered  seeing a spaghetti  box  that  had  a  girl  next  to  the  word  Miss Alaineus.
She  thinks  the vocabulary word   is   "Miss Alaineus "  but   when she goes to school and has to say the meaning of the word, everyone laughs.  At the end  in her school play, she  is  "Miss Alaineus" . You
should read this book .   It's awesome, dude!
