My Season With Penguins:  An Arctic Journal
by
Sophie Webb
Grades 4-6

This was a very boring book not trying to be mean. It was a little interesting because it talked about penguins. It was about a girl who wrote about penguins and studied them when she saw them.

Abbryella, Grade 5
Horgan Elementary School

This  book  was   very interesting.  It  is  about  an  author Sophie Webb who  goes  to  Antarctica  to  study   penguins.  It  is very  unusual  for  an  author  who  lives  in  California  to go  to
Cape  Royds  Antarctica  because   it  is  one  of  the  coldest places  on  earth.  She is with some other scientists.   They  stay for two  months  at  Cape  Royds  Antarctica.  Their names  are  Grant,
David  and   Sacha.  They  wear   at  least  six  layers  of  clothing so  they  will  be  able to  go  out  in  the  cold  icy  snow.  Penguins  can  communicate  with  each  other  by   howling.  The   way
the  mother  penguin  feeds  her  baby  is  by  throwing  up  in  the baby's  mouth.  You  should  read  this  book .   You  would  really like  it!
