Rhode Island Children's Book Award
Nominees are
selected according to the following criteria:
- Titles nominated should be
appropriate for and appeal to children in grades 3-6.
- Fiction and nonfiction titles
published between 2005-2006 were eligible for the 2008 list.
- Nominee titles must currently
be in print.
- A title listed once may not
be nominated again.
- Only one title per author may
be nominated in a given year.
- Authors must be currently
living in the United States at the time of nomination.
- The winning author will be
excluded from the nomination the following year.
- All nominated books should
have literary value.
- Editors of collected
works by other authors will not be considered.
