Florida Manatee Field Study

From April 29-May 11, Mrs. Frederick,  middle school technology educator, will be in Sarasota, Florida with scientists from the Mote Marine Laboratories participating in a manatee field study. This project is part of the Earthwatch Global Classroom program.  Mrs. Frederick  will be communicating daily with Mrs. Burdon's Team G science classes at Davisville Middle School and Mrs. LaPosta-Frazier's Lynx Team science classes  at Wickford Middle School. Students will be able to email questions to Mrs. Frederick. They will also have the opportunity to speak directly to the scientists at Mote Marine during a live video conference during the field study. This exciting opportunity is funded by the Earthwatch Institute with a grant from the Rhode Island Foundation.
