Welcome, space explorerer! I'm Zlada, Library Media Specialist to Explorers here on the planet Zongony. Zongony is a very special planet-- it's actually a celestial library to all interplanetary citizens and explorers. We serve the information needs of anyone in sector Y761. Lately, sector Y761 has had a dangerous intruder. Numbscales the Slobbering Monster, a 100-foot carnivorous creature, has been terrorizing the beings of Zongony for the last 17 years. We used to think we were safe from Numbscales here. Some thought the musty scent of old books would throw off his sniffer; Turns out he can pick a human from stacks of well-worn Tolstoy novels faster than you can scream, "Aaaaaaaaaahhhh!" in fear. The only way to stop Numbscales is with a book of spells. Not just any book of spells will do, mind you. You need the most POWERFUL spell book in all of sector Y761, and only an outsider can get it for the citizens of Zongony. To get the book, you'll need to earn six skill badges. You'll have a challenge for each badge. If you pass the challenge, you'll win the badge. If you don't pass the challenge, Numbscales will surely catch and destroy you-- and our chance for a future. Of course, you know your quest is a dangerous one. No fourth or fifth grader has managed to extract the book from Archival Collections on the first try... or EVER, for that matter. I can tell by the determination on your face that you're very brave. There are many perils you must overcome to save Zongony... and yourself! You are the only outsider on the planet. Without your help, we'll all suffer a horrible fate! Numbscales will find us for sure if we don't get out quickly! The citizens of Zongony have given up hope. You are our only chance at survival! We'll use the Big6 Skills in our quest. If you're new to the Big6 Skills, click here to prepare for your mission.
