Designer Math 2010 - Designer Math Competition is Going Green!! What effects will reducing our use of oil, natural gas, and coal have on global warming? How many species of animal and plant can we save by saving our rainforests? How much will hybrid cars slow the increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere?
The Twelfth Annual Designer Math Contest will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Students in Grades 5-12 may participate. The registration deadline is March 12, 2010. Contact Steve Levesque at Leves314@cox.net for further information. Click here for the registration form and other information.
Math Counts
RIMTA supports Math Counts by judging the RI contest in March. The more judges that we have, the smoother it goes. Contact Ray Morin RMorin1035@cox.net to sign up.
RI Math League-During the school year, high school math teams meet to compete/ Teams consist of five students with no more than two seniors per team. Schools may send up to five teams. The same students do not have to compete each time. There are seven different locations giving the meet questions. Playoffs are at the end of the year.
