At Rhode Island Network for Educational Technology, we know innovative
technologies can enhance the learning process for all RI students. That
is why our mission is to collaborate with schools, libraries, and municipalities
to provide technology solutions to enhance classroom teaching, parent
involvement, and student knowledge and learning among Rhode Island communities.
The result? Greater learning opportunities for all RI students.

RINET is formalizing its relationship with Thinkfinity.
Thinkfinity.org is
the cornerstone of Verizon Foundation's literacy, education and technology
initiatives. Their goal is to improve student achievement in traditional
classroom settings and beyond by providing high-quality content and
extensive professional development training.
RINET, in collaboration with RIDE, is the Thinkfinity State Partner
in Rhode Island and has received a $25,000 grant to support Thinkfinity
activities that include:
- Promoting and providing professional development opportunities
to classroom teachers statewide through on-line train-the-trainers
sessions.
- Supporting Thinkfinity trainers initiating on-site training in
their schools.
- Infusing Thinkfinity professional development into
other statewide initiatives, such as the E2T2/RITTI computer grant
and training program
