About RINET 
People and Leadership Board of Directors
As a non-profit organization, RINET is governed by a dedicated,
volunteer Board of Directors. RINET's Board of Directors consists of ten
members, six of which represent K-12 constituencies.
Of the six K-12 members, four are district technology directors/coordinators,
one also a classroom teacher and one is a superintendent.
RINET's three higher education members and one RI Office of Library &
Information Services member bring leading edge experience and such tangible
assets as Internet2 membership through OSHEAN, Brown, and URI.
In 1993, it was these partners who created RINET and have steered it towards
the organization it is today, a statewide K-12 network second to none
in quality and accessibility.
