About RINET Join RINET

This checklist is designed to assist RINET subscribers in obtaining Internet services for a school and/or district. Note that steps 1-7 under "Requirements for Obtaining Service" are necessary for RINET to provide you with quality customer service. Some of the tasks can be completed online while others require telephone contact.

Requirements for Obtaining Service
  1. Identify Technology Coordinator (coordinates RINET services)


  2. Identify Account Manager (handles e-mail and dialup accounts)


  3. Technology Coordinator can order digital line service by mailing or FAXing us a purchase order with a completed RINET Site Survey.

    Schools and Districts Site Survey - (Microsoft Word, RTF, or PDF format).
    Municipalities Site Survey - (Microsoft Word, RTF, or PDF format)

  4. Account Manager request for accounts (for e-mail and/or dialup use)


  5. Web-based Account Management (WAM) System


  6. Configure desktop machines (PC and Macintosh) for network use (coming soon)


  7. Subscribe to RICOORD-L@ride.ri.net - Send Technology Coordinator e-mail address to pam@staff.ri.net
