RINET Annual Meeting:
A Collaborative Endeavor
On Tuesday October 13, 2009, 66 participants joined us at URI Graduate School of Oceanography’s Coastal Institute Building on the Narragansett Bay Campus for RINET's Annual Meeting – A Collaborative Endeavor. We enjoyed inspiring and informative presentations on the power of collaboration and marine resources that support science teaching and learning. We had lunch with Deborah Gist, Rhode Island’s Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education, and toured the Ocean Science and Exploration Center and the new Pell Marine Science Library, and explored The Endeavor, URI’s 185-foot Research Vessel.
