Account Management
WAM
WAM is a Web-based system of functions enabling managers to delete an account (permanently), noLog (disable) and reLog (enable) an account, change an account password, and review the list of accounts for their school, district, or library. Other functions, such as adding new users and changing a school system or library's account manager, must be completed by RINET staff. To enter the system use the link at the bottom of this page.
On the screen,“Password Database Administration”, select the individual function you wish to execute from the pop-up menu under “Choose Action”. After choosing a function, click on “Go”, which will load the appropriate data entry screen. On each data entry screen, you need to submit the required information in the blocks provided:
Always required:
• "Administrator's Login Name" (do not include @ride.ri.net)
• "Administrator's Password"
Required, when requested:
• "User's Login Name" or "User to Delete" (the user
ID of the user account you are modifying)
• "User's New Password" (old password not necessary)
Note that the function, "List Managed Accounts", allows you to obtain a complete list of all accounts under your control as listed in the RIDE server database. After you click “Submit”, you will receive the message: "Your request has been received. The requested information will be E-mailed to you within 24 hours.”
IMPORTANT NOTES: You cannot add new accounts or change your school system or library's account manager. To request a block of accounts in multiples of five to the limit approved by RIDE, or to name a new account manager, E-mail RINET's Account Manager, Melanie Turcotte.
