Check List
Our best assistance is provided on a planned basis communicating with trained local personnel. RINET suggests that each endpoint in a videoconference:
Designate a Local Point of Contact (POC)
Recommended: Familiarity with Site LAN
Verify Internet Configuration
Comply with Videoconferencing Internet Technical Guidelines
Post Documentation on unit or cart and
maintain a Usage Log
Attach Polycom User Guide and Polycom Usage Log to the Polycom unit. Collect data for all calls including test calls.
Maintain Polycom Equipment
Test Equipment Monthly
Update Polycom IOS (operating System) at least every 12 months
Test connectivity
Test connectivity to all end-points at least 3 business days prior to conferences.
Set-up calls at least 15 minutes prior to start time

Student Conduct/Acceptable Use Policy
Sites should work with teachers/facilitators to include videoconferencing in their existing student conduct and technology acceptable use policies and get appropriate permissions for student participation, as necessary
