Step 1.Create the "Terminal Scripts" folder
Click on your MacIntosh HD (note: may have been renamed).
In the MacIntosh HD, Open the Folder called "Library"
In the MacIntosh HD Library Folder, look for a folder called Terminal Scripts.If you find it, open it.Step 2. Copy RINET Connect Script to your MacIntosh
If you do not find it, you must create it.Click on File and New FolderName it: "Terminal Scripts"
Open your Internet Program (you must be online).
Enter the web address http://www.ri.net/RINET/RINETOSX2ConnectionScript.txt
(This address is case sensitive; please type the address exactly as you see it)
Note: We recommend that you download this file onto removable media (diskette, Zip, CD, tec.) and have it available with these printed instructions.SelectFile> Save As
Save to your "Terminal Scripts" Folder
Close your Internet Program.Step 3. Set-up your Mac System Preferences
You will need to have Administrator access to complete this procedure.
Click on the Apple
Open the System Preferences
Click on the Network (globe icon)Step 3.1 - Configure Internal Modem/TCP/IP TabShow: Internal Modem
Select: the TCP/IP tab
Configure: Using PPP
IP Address DNS Servers: 131.109.31.100 or 128.148.128.9Router Search Domain: ride.ri.net
Click Apply NowStep 3.2 - Configure Internal Modem PPP Tab
Click the PPP tab
Service Provider: RINET Account Name: Your RID##### account name (not your alias)
Password: Your Password Telephone Number: 455-0268 (This is a local call from all residential telephone lines in RI)
If desired, check Save Password
Note: Anyone using your computer will be able to access your RINET Account

Step 3.3 - Configure PPP Option Tab
Click on the PPP Options button
Advanced Options:
Terminal Script: RINETOS2XConnectionScript.txt

Click OK
Click Apply NowSelect System Preferences
Quit System PreferencesStep 4. - Open your Internet Connection Program
Select Go
Select Applications
Choose Internet Connect
Make sure the Configuration is set to Internal Modem.
Fill in the Password field, if blank.

Click Connect
(You may need to enter your password here)
You should hear the phone dialing and then connecting
