  • Exhibit respect for "Acceptable Use Policy".
  • Identification of external computer parts and proper use.
  • Identification of appropriate keys on keyboard.
  • Use age appropriate software to compliment classroom curriculum.
  • Demonstrate the proper way to open and close programs.
  • Demonstrate the proper use of our Library automation program.

  • Identification of internal computer parts, explanation of how they work and proper use.
  • Define age appropriate computer terminology.
  • Use age appropriate software to compliment classroom curriculum.
  • Introduction to the Internet for research purposes in a controlled area.
  • Discussions of ethical and moral issues, copyright issues and legitimate sources on the Internet.  Safe and responsible online behavior is encouraged while exploring the wonders of the Internet.
  • Creating Web Pages in a controlled environment.
  • Introduction to LAN (Local Area Network)

  • Keyboarding
  • Use of Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database and
  • Presentation software to produce specific projects related to classroom curriculum.
  • Define age appropriate computer terminology.
  • More advanced research tactics on the Internet and reinforcement of moral, ethical and copyright issues, as well as legitimacy of sources.  Safe and responsible online behavior is encouraged as well.
