Students will unwrap how Henry Green deals with "chocolate fever" as they read Chocolate Fever, by Robert Kimmel Smith.

A time machine! Students are creating time machines based on the six simple machines: wheel and axle, pulley, lever, screw, wedge, and an inclined plane.

LANGUAGE ARTS

In unit 7 students are learning about verbs and adverbs.  They will learn how to identify adverbs in a sentence and how to write using adverbs.

RELIGION

JESUS LEADS US TO HAPPINESS
Happy are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Happy are they who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Happy are the meek,
for they will inherit the land.
Happy are they who hunger and thirst
for righteousness,
for they will be satisfied.
Happy are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Happy are the clean of heart,
for they will see God.
Happy are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Happy are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
We are always in need of paper towels, kleenex, plastic utensils, paper plates, and sponges.  Any and all donations are welcome. (of course I will never turn away coffee or chocolate, either)

Thank you for all of your support in making this a successful year!

Ms. Cunningham
