EVENTS
The following events occur during the school year. Planning for these
events most often takes place after school hours. Please consider helping to make these
special events successful.
MAGAZINE SALE -
AUGUST 31 –
SEPTEMBER 14

A big, big fundraiser!!! Volunteers are needed right away to assist with
counting or tallying all returns from the drive. Hours are daily from 9 11:00 a.m.,
so come whenever you can help.
FRIDAY MORNING HELP!ERS
On the first and third Fridays of every month from 9:00 11:00 a.m.,
join us for coffee, pastry and conversation while we do work for the teachers: cutting,
Xeroxing, collating, etc. Small children are welcome! This is a great way to make friends
and help the teachers; you dont have to sign up, just drop in. Need 2 volunteers who
can come early to make coffee.
SANTAS STORE -
DECEMBER 11
(Tuesday)

Each year Mercymount students from PreK 8 do their own Christmas
shopping at school. Volunteers are needed to set up, wrap presents, sell gifts and
cleanup. Gift wrapping is done in advance
watch for flyer.
AUCTION -
APRIL 5 (Saturday)
This is our largest, most profitable fundraiser and social event. It
involves soliciting donations, decorating, setting up and planning. The committee meets
monthly starting in September. We need lots of help and ideas!
SWEETHEART DANCE -
MAY (Friday)

A dance for Mercymount girls K 8 and their dads, grandfathers,
uncles, etc. This involves decorating the gym, baking, ordering flowers, serving and
cleanup. Committee meets several times after the holidays.
MOTHER/SON EVENT
- TBD

The committee will coordinate the evenings festivity, most likely a
PawSox Game in late May or early June since this has been successful in the past.
GOLF TOURNAMENT - JUNE
2 (Friday)

The annual Golf Tournament is held in the spring of each year. The
proceeds go directly to the Technology needs at Mercymount. Committee work includes
solicitations and rounding up golfers!
FIELD DAY
- JUNE
11 (Thursday)

What a treat! All classes (K-7) have a great time outdoors with
tug-o-war, balloon toss, sack races, etc. PLUS a delicious cookout. Lots of people with
lots of ideas needed to help PE teacher, Mr. Evans on the next-to-the-last-day of school
(or the last if it rains).
