Forest Avenue School is a Pre-K to Grade 4 elementary school located in Middletown, Rhode Island. Forest Avenue School has been classified as a high performing school by the Rhode Island Department of Education. Our school has a warm and friendly atmosphere as well as an outstanding staff that continually challenges and supports the students in every way possible. In addition to standards-based instruction in reader/writer workshops, Everyday Math, and Science (K.I.T.E.S.), our 260 students enjoy co-curricular classes in Art, Music, Physical Education and Library that meet once every six days. Fourth grade students participate in the school chorus which performs a Holiday and Spring concert annually. Students also have the use of a state-of-the art computer lab which they use to integrate technology with their curriculum.

Student are also encouraged to participate in several after-school programs such as the B.U.G. (Bringing Up Grades in Reading, Writing, and Math) Club, Art Club, and Foreign Language.

We have a fabulous PTG that sponsors all kinds of wonderful programs, field trips, and socials for our students to enjoy. There are also many opportunities for parents to become involved with their child's educational experiences. Volunteers are always welcome!!
