Vision
The Joseph H. Gaudet Middle School will be a fully funded learning community that will inspire
each member to explore and discover pathways to the highest standards, and to become creative,
lifelong learners.

Expectations
- Students will develop life long reading habits and are expected to read twenty-five books and/or book equivalents each year
- Students will develop skill and effectiveness in expository and narrative writing.
- Students will develop a foundation of scientific knowledge and a system of scientific inquiry and discovery
- Students will develop a geographic, historical and cultural perspective of their world
- Students will develop problem solving and mathematical skills for real-world application
- Students will use technology as a tool for learning, communication, decision-making and productivity within the context of all subject areas.
- The student will develop an understanding of art as a means of communication, a vehicle for expression, and a place to be comfortably unique
- Students will demonstrate through numerous diverse applications and integrated units, an understanding of musical improvisation, creation, and performance
- Students will learn the necessary skills and knowledge in physical education and health to make responsible decisions about their mental, emotional, social, and physical health
