Dear Parent/Guardian:

As a result of recent articles and reports, Joseph H. Gaudet Middle School would like to remind you of the following safety practices and policies that we have been following for several years:

• All doors are locked at 8:00 a.m.
• All visitors must identify themselves at the main office.
• Students will only be released to parents or primary contacts.
• Parents need to notify us with changes in contacts.

Additionally, the School Department is required by law to notify every parent yearly of Meaghan’s Law (click here). If you DO NOT WANT to be notified of high risk sex offenders who enter the community, you need to return the enclosed form.

Please be assured that the Middletown Public Schools and Gaudet Middle School make every effort to provide a safe and secure environment for every student and family.
