Welcome to JF Kennedy Elementary School!
As you walk into John F Kennedy School, look above the door and you will see a descriptor; A Learning Community Soaring to New Heights of Achievement. That is exactly what JFK is; a vibrant, diverse learning community filled with qualified and caring professionals who are striving to provide the best environment for learning for ALL children. The children of JFK are happy, eager, and engaged learners-they love coming to school and they really love learning!
It is through our safe and caring environment, that we challenge our students to reach high academic standards. We expect our students to reach specific performance levels specified by the New Standards Performance Standards/GLE’s. As we challenge our students, we continually encourage, scaffold, and support them along the way.
Along with expectations for students, we also have expectations for parents to become involved in the J F Kennedy learning community. Parent Nights are held so that we can inform you about the academic expectations for your child so that we can work as a team to assist your child toward academic excellence.
