The Fear Place is about a boy whose parents leave him and his brother alone in the wilderness because their mother's brother has died. They are supposed to stick together, but after about 2 hours alone, they are already fighting. Finally one brother gets mad and packs his things up and leaves. Doug knows he has to go and find his brother, even if he has to go to a place that he is completely freaked out about. On top of that, there is a cougar around, and you don't want to mess with them!
