PHYSICAL EDUCATION
AND
HEALTH

All students at Eldredge participate in Physical Education twice a week for 40 minutes of instruction and health once a week. The physical education program focuses on non-competitive acquisition of skills. Particular emphasis is placed on fun and fitness with special recognition given to good sportsmanship and team work. The program includes many traditional team sports and cooperative games, such as Island Hopping, Monarch and Hyperspace, in which everyone participates equally. Students also jump rope, juggle, and attempt to set new school fitness records. Eldredge students raise funds for the American Heart Asssociation by annually participating in "Jump Rope for Heart".
