THE ELDREDGE PARENT-TEACHER
GROUP, known as the PTG, is a non-profit organization that provides educational
and recreational opportunities to the children of our school. The PTG meets
on the third Wednesday of each month and is run entirely by parent volunteers.
All parents are welcome to join and are encouraged to become involved in
the various school-based activities planned throughout the year. |

BECOMING INVOLVED |

There are many ways
to become involved. Parents are encouraged to volunteer in a variety of
settings both in the classroom (assisting students and teachers) and behind
the scenes. Volunteers can provide assistance in the following areas: |

ELDREDGE BOARD
DESCRIPTIONS/ACTIVITIES
2006-2007
CO-PRESIDENTS:
Jane Leeds and Kathy Lewis
Oversees all PTG activities during the year. Keeps members informed
of PTG information through monthly meetings and newsletter updates.
VICE-PRESIDENT: Kim
Truipano
Assists President when needed at meetings and during the year. Is
available to step in when President is not available.. Also responsible
for PTG information board which is outside the main office.
TREASURER: Sharon Kurose
Controls all money and billing during the year. Provides updates
of budget at monthly meetings.
SECRETARY: Cheri Moss
Records minutes of monthly meetings. Provides typed copy for publication
in newsletter.
MEMBERSHIP: Michelle
Verdi
Eldredge PTG requests $10 from each family that would like to be a member.
Dues are kept track of by the person(s) holding this board position. Money
is used for various PTG sponsored activities during the year.
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR:
Nancy Lamoriello
There are many volunteer opportunities with varying degree of involvement.
The volunteer coordinator is responsible for locating volunteers to aide
where teachers/administrators have requested. Examples of these volunteer
opportunities are:
Library- both shelving and clerical assistance to librarian
Classroom – teachers may ask Home Room Parent or Volunteer Coordinator
for assistance in classroom
