Pilgrims and Indians

In 1620 the world was a very different place. One the first groups of permanent white settlers came to America. They were called Pilgrims and they traveled from Europe because they wanted to worship God in their own way.

Once they arrived in America, they quickly learned that the New World had people already living there. This group of Native Americans belonged to the Wampanoag tribe. Although they lived during the same time, they were very different from one another.
