March : Science Fiction

Format: Book Jacket

 

Use the model we made in class as a guideline. Make sure that your project has ALL of the components. Neatness counts on every component!

1. Cover:

*Draw a picture of a key scene that does not give away the story but would get someone's interest. Picture must be in color and neatly done.

*Include book title and author

*Include your name

2. Inside right flap: Main character, description must include:

*Who the character is

*Personality traits

*Give examples to support your opinions

3. Inside left flap: Another character, description must include:

*Who the character is

*Personality traits

*Give examples to support your opinions

* Describe their relationship with the main character

4. Inside top flap: Publisher information, must include:

*What company published the book

*The date of publication

*How any pages are in the book

5. Inside middle: A scene from the book:

*Should be an important scene

*Must be in color and neatly drawn

*Must include a brief description of the scene

6. Bottom inside flap: Opinion section, must include:

*Did you like the book or not?

*Would you recommend it to friends?

*Support your opinion with facts from the book

7. Back cover: Summary of the book, 2 paragraphs which must include:

Paragraph one:

*Talk about the beginning of the story. Describe an event from the beginning of the book. Tell what the characters are doing.

Paragraph two:

*Talk about the middle of the story. Describe another event. This event should tell what the problem of the story is. Give enough information to get a reader interested without giving away the end or resolution to the problem.
