Format: Story Cube
Objective: To reveal the story line of this month's selection through a visual mode using a story cube.
Directions:
1. Using this diagram map out on a piece of white 12" x 18" oak tag. Each cube will measure 4" x 4". Lightly label each section of the cube with pencil.
Square #1 = Title of story (underlined) and author
Square #2 = Setting - time and place story took place
Square #3 = Main character(s) of the story
Square #4 = Event representing the problem of the story
Square #5 = Event representing the turning point of the story
Square #6 = Event that shows the resolution of the story
2. On each labeled square write two or three sentences telling what is happening in each scene. Illustrate the scene for each square. Your writing will have to be small in order to fit the information on the square. Make sure that your writing is legible and your illustration is neat !
3. Make sure that you have used complete sentences, proper spelling, and the correct punctuation.
4. Fold the oak tag into a cube and tape together with clear tape.
