Projects and Bookreports
September--fiction: Children write a summary of a fiction book. (due
October)
November--realistic fiction: Children write comparisons/contrasts between
themselves and the main character. The report is made into a 3-D
presentation and shared with the class. (due December)
November/December--Children write a science report on a planet. This is
done in class with our own research materials.
January--Children complete an ocean animal book report and make a poster
to
display their work. Each poster is shared with the class. (due February)
March/April--Children complete a state project in class using our own
materials.
April--Children complete a biography book report using the essay format as
a
guideline. Detailed directions are sent home. The students share the
report, which is published into a book, with the class. (due May)
May/June--Rhode Island project is completed in class with class materials.
