Answers to these questions will be recorded on a large piece of poster paper by an elected group secretary. You will also elect a presenter to present your group's poster and findings to the whole class.
1. What is an adventure story?
*what are the common things that you notice occur in all of your books?*what seems to be typical for this kind of book?
2. What are the types of themes in the books in your group?
*Is it man against nature?*Is it a person against themselves?
3. What type of settings were in the books in your group?
4. What are the similarities and differences in the different main characters in your
group?
5. What did you like about your story and why?
6. What did you dislike about it and why?
7. What is the group's overall opinion of adventure books? Is is something you would read again? Why or why not?
Written/physical project portion:
You will make a diorama of a key scene in the book. See the attached instruction sheet for specifics on how to make a diorama. You MUST have all of the components listed on the attached sheet to get full credit. We will also have a "Diorama Fair" after we complete our Book Chat Circles so you will have a chance to view all of the dioramas.
Remember that the more creativity and imagination you put into creating your scene, the better your grade will be.
