The Project:

 

The students will learn about the different habitats and zones that are found in the ocean. The class will then begin to make a list of different ocean animals and where they are found in the ocean. Students will then use various library books and visit various sites on the Internet to learn more about different ocean animals. Students will be asked to select one ocean animal that they would like to learn more about.

 

OCEAN ANIMAL REPORT NOTES:

    Why do you feel like you do? Explain your opinion.

  • After completing the research, students will then write a report about their ocean animal using a word processing program on the school’s computer. Students will then construct a poster illustrating their ocean animal, including all of the information they have gathered through different means. Students will present their reports orally to the class. Students will be graded on the accuracy of their report and poster.

     

    Technology Connection:

     

    Students will work together cooperatively to create a Power Point presentation on their selected ocean animal. The presentation will include 4 slides containing the following information:
