Animals
In the fall we learn about animals.
This year the Zoo Mobile came to school.
We also took a field trip to Roger Williams Zoo. These are some of the animals we saw there.

	This is a baby alligator.
	These birds are flamingos. Do you know why their feathers are pink? The shrimp they love to eat makes them pink.
	One flamingo is not pink. Do you know why?
	Do you know what animal this is? It has one hump on it's back. It lives in the desert. It is a camel.
	This is a snow leopard.
	Here is another snow leopard. It is hard to see. We call this camouflage. Do you know what happened to the snow leopards this summer?
	Can you see two polar bears in the background? One is the mother, Trixie. The other is her two year old cub, Triton.
	Triton moved to a zoo in Detroit to begin a family of his own.
