Mini-Society Mini-Society is a unit we end the year with which follows our Community unit. During Mini-Society the students develop their own community in the classroom. They decide on a name, design a flag, and design and print the money to go along with the community. Each student then decides on a job or a business that they will open to earn mini-society money. This could be selling popcorn or lemonade, painted rocks or shells, bookmarks, fans, pictures, etc. Anything they can make easily by themselves or with a minimum of help from their parents.

It is a very busy time but everybody has fun and the children learn a lot about earning and saving money. They already know a lot about spending!
