After we studied landforms and the idea of place in geography, we made maps our "places".  Come visit our places and read our descriptions.  You might just want to visit them.

 

     Sports World has two mountains called the Tennis Twins.The Tennis Twins have a river next to them.  People can exercise while they climb the mountains. Sports World also has a bridge called Basketball Bridge which helps people get across Soccer River. People can fish off Basketball Bridge, too. Sports World also has a river called Soccer River where people fish.  The river gives them food like fish and crabs. Sports World also has a hill called Golf Hill. Golf Hill is a place where people play and learn the rules of golf.  Two of the streets are named Basketball Ave. and Football St. People build their houses next to the streets.
 

    Pokeímon Island has split into two parts because of the volcanic eruptions.Thereís  whirlpools that protect the island from enemies.There are many tribes and villages. There are two buildings far away from civilization. One is a power plant and the other is for emergencies like illnesses , fires and volcanic eruptions.
      Itís always summer on Pokeímon Island. The island has beaches. There are surfing and fishing competitions every week.
    There is a huge active volcano in the middle of the isle!
    Mountains all over the isle help the people relax because there is a very peaceful view from the top.
    The island has many fields and tons of grass! People all over the world come here on  airplanes for vacations.
 

      Turp Island has 2 bays that lead to the ocean or the sea. Bays let the people drive their boats to the sea or the ocean so they can leave.Turp Island has two bays because if they only had one it would take longer to get to the ocean or the sea.
     Turp Island is an island that is shaped like a turtle shell. The island lets people spend time on the shore so they can have a vacation . People go there because it is a place where people can go   to  rest.
      Turp Island has 2 big spaces that have lots of mountains.Turp Island has mountains because each season  people go there to do activities. In summer  they would go hiking or in winter  they go skiing  or snow boarding.
     On Turp Island near the houses there is lots of grass.Turp Island needs the grass so all the people can plant some strawberries or some thing else.Turp Island has a peninsula on the side. If there is no more room in the middle, people can go to the peninsula to rest or live.
 

     The  Land of the Cats has snowy mountains which people can climb to see if the beach is crowded or not. There are rivers in between the mountains so the cats can get their own fish. The purple ropes are for people to climb to the top of the mountains to have lunch,  to look at the animals, or to look at the pretty water. People on the beach take a swim in the salty water so they can have fun.
 

        The two blue lines sticking out of the top are called Antenna Lake.The people need the lake so they can swim.The medium size square in the middle of the large square is called Dock Screen.  People need the dock for their  boats. Large Square is the largest island in TV Land. The people need a big island because there is a lot of people.
    On the right side in the large square thereís a small circle that is called Knob Island. The people need Knob Island so they can build their houses. Also on the right side there is a rectangle and it is called Button Island.They need Button Island because if there  was no Button Island, the people couldn't survive because the other Islands are taken.
    The last island looks like a piece of popcornl It is called TV Island and it's helpful because it has a restaurant and some islands where people can hunt for food.
    We put mountains in TV Land because on TV shows people climb mountains.
 

       Sing Land has hills so people could go walking .The hills help people get strong because they have to walk up the hills. On the hills you can go for a picinc.
    Sing Land is dangerous because it has volcanoes. People could get injured by the volcanoes. The volcanoes have gates around them so people might not get injured. The volcanoes explode about every year.
    Sing Land has an ocean and islands because if people like to sail they can sail to the islands. Sing Land has a river that connects to the ocean. You can go boating on the river to the ocean.
 

    Hawk Island has a stream that goes through the Island. It is there for the people to get water for their drinks.The people need water  to live. Hawk Island has mountain and streams, houses, ponds and palm trees, too.
    There are palm trees on Hawk Island for the people to get food like apples and grapes for food. The people  need that so they wonít  starve.
    The docks on Hawk Island  are for the boats so they do not float away. It is  for the boats to stay there so they can bring in the fish for food.
    Hawk Island has a seawall for the boats to know that theyíre not in a fishing area. It is there  so if the fishermen go fishing they know thereís no fish.
    The sharks are there for protecting  the boats. If there is a boat that sinks the sharks will bring them to safety.They have sharks because the boats are made out of bamboo so they break easily.
    Hawk lsland has signs that tell you where things are so you donít get lost.
    There is a bridge in the middle so you can get across  from one side to the other and visit each other.
 

    The Land of Zoombeanies has a wide beach around the whole island.The Zoombeanies play there and they have parties there.They have a stream on the island for them to drink out of.The ocean is for swimming and other water activities.
    The Zoombenies eat fruit that grows in the forest.The mountains are for getting a good veiw of the island.The sand is for making sand castles and to do other sand creations .The trees are for climbing and for making tree houses and other fun activities.
 

        Busy Broadwalk, Manningís Mountain, V.C.Island, and Small Island are islands where people surf, run around, play, swim and no one goes to school because all the people have no money, They have no money because they used their money on renting houses.  The bridges make it easier to get to the islands you want to get to.The houses are for people to rest in, for people to eat in, and live in. Mountains are for people to snowboard down in the winter when it snows.The ponds are for bathing in to get clean.The hills are for the people to have picnics on. The trees are for people to climb on and rest under when they donít have any energy to get to the houses.
