The third
grade Social Studies Curriculum consists of the study of the History of
Narragansett, Maps and Globes, and teaching an Appreciation for Diverse
Cultures through the study of famous Americans, such as Martin Luther King,
Jr. This appreciation is also fostered in the literature we choose throughout
the curriculum. In addition, holidays such as Columbus Day, may be
studied in detail.
