Mr. Loontjens is the Town Manager of Narragansett. He came to our class to tell us about his important job. Here is what we learned.
Mr. Loontjens has been doing the town manager job for 4 years. The most important thing about Mr. Loontjens' job is to make sure that the grownups pay money for the town. The part of Mr. Loontjens' job that he likes the best is going around and meeting people. The hardest part of Mr. Loontjens' job is trying to figure out how the money we have to pay is going to be spent.
Mr. Loontjens likes being
the town manager very much.
Mr. Loontjens would like to
change the town by having more money to spend. He says that the town beach
is the most popular place in Narragansett. Mr. Loontjens thinks that the
public safety people, like the fire department and the police and the rescue
people, are the most important workers
He has 20 days of vacation. We learned a lot about the Town Manager's job.
