Web Quest
 

You and your family are planning to go on a vacation next summer with some friends.  Everyone wants to go to a different  country.  Below is a list of some countries that you could visit:

	Australia		Brazil
	Italy		France
	Japan		Mexico
	Tanzania		England

 Choose at least two of the countries  listed above to research. Clicking on the name of the location will link you to a web site which explores that place. As you research, look for and write down any of the following information that you find:
 

1.  Where is the country located?  (continent)
2. What is the weather like there? (climate)
3.  What is the land like? (mountains, desert,
      rainforest, seacoast?)
4.  What animals might you see there?
5.  What interesting places could you see there?
        (cities, landmarks, monuments)
6.  What foods are popular there?
7.  What sports are played?
8.  What holidays do the people celebrate?
9.  Any other information that makes this country
     special?

Of the  countries that you have researched, choose one that you would like to visit. Be sure you have some reasons for your choice.
   Create a travel poster that would make people want to visit this country.
    Write a letter to your family to convince them that you should go to this country. Include the most interesting facts you found and your reasons for wanting to visit.  Be sure to have an interesting beginning and a good ending! (You will practice by presenting this to the class.)
