Mrs. Westkott's, Mrs. Blumenbaum's, and Mrs. Prest's classes got off to a GREAT start in September with a study of the Life Cycle of the Monarch Butterfly. In addition to raising Monarchs, they read about them, wrote and illustrated books about them, and wrote poetry. Each student took part in the online project entitled "Journay South." Our paper Monarchs will winter at a school in Mexico and migrate back north in the spring. Finally, our classes created "The Amazing Monarch Meadow" mural in the hallway outside our classroom.
