Abstract
We
investigated how grow plants with restricted time of light. Each
member of the group researched a different topic to help us help us understand
the aspects that make up our experiments. The topics we researched
were photosynthesis, light requirement, light intensity, and light sources.
Our basic procedure was to set up 4 different time periods of light.
Then planting 8 pots with seeds, then putting 2 of the 8 pots under each
of the different time periods of light. We then watched and recorded
our results.
Through this
experiment we learned that the amount of light a plant recieves does effect
the photosynthesis process. Also that outside factors can take an
effect on the status of the plants growth. We had fruit flys around
our experiments so as a result many of our plants wilted. Another
factor that effected our plants growth was that our experiment was tampered
with and we had a light stay on for 72 hours straight. That of course
dried out our plants, killing them. Also if you over water your plants
then fungus will begin to grow. We also learned that around 4 hours
of light is the least amount of light that a plant can have without dying.
