10/27/99

    1. We filled three tubs with an equal amount of potting soil
    2. We labeled the tubs "Detergent", "Water", and "biodegradable"
    3. We poured 650ml. of Detergent water in the tub labeled "Detergent"
    1. We spread the same amount of grass seed over each tub
    2. We placed all three tubs under florescent and bulb lights which were on 8 hours a day.

 10/28/99   1. We decided to water each tub 500ml either everyday or every other day.

- We will decide tomorrow.

2. There is no growth yet.

 10/29/99 1. Watered plants for the Weekend. * We will use 750ml of water for each tub on Fridays. No growth yet 11/1/99 1. There is growth in all three tubs.

2. We measured growth (see chart).

 NOTE: We will take pictures every Wednesday. 11/2/99 1. Grass continued to grow and we took measurements again.

2. In the detergent tub, all of the tall blades of grass are around the edge but the middle is barren.

 11/3/99 We have decided to water each tub 250ml every other day because we noticed that there are puddles under each tub. NOTE: Took individual pictures of each tub

11/4/99

There is very little growth in the center of the Detergent. The tallest growth there is 5 cm. * Measured 11/5/99 Grass is still very moist so we will wait to water until Monday. 11/8/99 It is still sparse in the center of the Detergent tub. * Measured 11/9/99 It is too difficult to find the tallest growth now so we will record an average. * Measured 11/10/99 We took 3 photos of the top veiw
