Conclusion

after reviewing all of the data we collected from growing the plants, we have reached a conclusion on which watering system worked the best.  we feel that the underground watering system (tank #2), helped the plants grow the best.

as you can see from our graphs, the plants in tank #2 either grew the best overall or were starting to increase growth faster then the other tanks towards the end of the experiment.

the growth tables show that at the end of the experiment all the plants from tank #2 ended up with the tallest measurements.

the underground watering system worked the best.  this system worked the best because it delivered the water directly to the roots of the plants and with minimal evaporation.

the normal way of watering system also worked well.  it was much better than the soaker hose.  it started out better than the underground watering system but it did not end up that way.

we concluded that the soaker hose was the worst way to water the plants.  the soaker hose system data showed us much less growth than the other two tanks.  we believe this because the soaker hose does not get the water directly to the roots and it does not evenly distribute the water in the tank.

overall the underground watering system worked the best.  although the regular way or watering did help the seeds germinate faster, it is not the best choice in the long run.  the data we collected was not spread out too much between each tank, but we believe that of our project continued further, the underground watering system would be at the top of the charts by far.
