Hypothesis

if we use a underground watering system to water our plants and reduce evaporation, then those plants will grow better then the other two tanks.

We have created three different ways to water the plants.  The first way is to water the plants from under the ground.  We think that this will help to prevent evaporation and it will help to get the water right to the roots where the water is needed the most.

The second way is to water the plants with a soaker hose.  This way will bring the water right to the base of the plant where it is also needed.  The water will then percolate in to the soil to the roots.

The final way is to just water them like they where just any old plant and for this the water will be poured on.  In all of the different ways the water will be measured and the same amount will be given to each setup.

Our hypothesis is that the plant being watered using the under ground watering system will help to keep the evaporation down to a minimum and the water will go to where it is needed most at the roots.  We feel that these plants will do the best because they will get the water where it is needed where as in the other setups the water is on the surface before it get to the roots and because of this it will evaporate at a more rapid pace.
