GRADE 6 COMMUNITY SERVICE:
    March, 2006:

    Dr. E. J. Finocchio and "Marvelous Marvin" visit the sixth grade annually to accept the donations that the students collect for the R.I.S.P.C.A.  Many pet items and  cash are  given to Marvin in order to help make the lives of  the animals a little easier.  While here at school, Marvin always performs a few tricks and takes the time to allow every sixth grader to say "hi." and give him a little pat.

  Technology Education:

 
Green Team:

                                                     For the last three  years, the Green Team has been  collecting General Mills
                                                     boxtops and participating in the Boxtops in Education program.  For each
                                                     box top that  is collected by the students, Birchwood receives  10 cents.
                                                     Proceeds go to  field trips and other  educational  "extras"  for the students.

                                                    PLEASE SEND IN YOUR BOX TOPS!  (Call Mrs. Casinelli with questions.)
