A few words about homework:
 Our team assigns daily homework in all subject areas.  Students should spend no more than 30 minutes per subject per night on homework.  There should be no more than 2 hours per night.  We feel that homework provides a vital link between home and school.  It reinforces or extends what is done during the school day.  It also encourages independence and responsibility. 
If students are regularly spending more time than this on daily homework please contact us. Remember, a calendar style assignment book is required at all times during classes.  Parents are asked to check this book regularly to assure that homework is being completed and turned in on time.  Please let us know of any concerns you might have regarding homework.

Research...
Research is often required for school work, long term assignments and projects.  You will want to become familiar with the East Smithfield and Greenville Libraries if you have not already done so.  Books may be obtained through the library if they are in stock there.  Keep in mind that it may take several days to obtain a book that you need if the library has to order it through interlibrary loan!
Books may be requested at Greenville Library online if you have a CLAN (Library) card.
