The two Second Grades at Anna McCabe have begun their "journey" to Japan, starting with Japan's absolute and relative location on both a map and a globe.
	The children created "Hinomaru", Japan's "rising sun" flag. They learned that the red circle symbolizes the sun, with the color red standing for warmth and brightness, and white for purity.
	Working diligently...
	They even made pencil topper flags to wave proudly as they write!
