SPACE:  THE FINAL FRONTIER
All of our Science units will revolve around the theme of Space and Space Exploration.  Think about what it would be like to travel through space or launch a rocket.  Check the boards below for information about our Space topic and how it ties in to our regular curriculum.

SPACE
We'll begin by thinking about what we already know and what we'd like to learn.  For example, do you know what the ISS is?  Do you know the difference between the shuttle and the orbiter?  How do the astonauts dispose of their trash?  Together, we'll discover the answers to these questions and a galaxy of more as we focus on the themes of exploration and discovery.

FYI
Using the Scientific Method in our investigations will help us learn to solve problems like scientists.
Step 1 - Think of a Big Question we'd like to have answered.
Step 2 - Formulate a hypothesis or answer to our question based on what we know and what we've learned from research.
Step 3 - Design and conduct an experiment to test our hypothesis.
Step 4 - Record observations and results.
Step 5 - Develop a conclusion and think about what we've learned.

SCIENCE FAIR - MARCH 27 - Projects and reports due MARCH 21.  Check the Science Fair packet that was sent home for more information.
