II. D. 1. Industrial Arts Department Facility Use Policy
The employees of the West Warwick School Department shall have access to the Industrial Arts Department and use of the equipment only under the following conditions:
1. Any employee wishing to use and have access to the equipment in the Industrial Arts Department shall first pass a practical examination administered by the Practical Arts Department Head or Practical Arts Assistant Department Head responsible for Industrial Arts regarding the use of all equipment located within said Department.
2. Once an employee has successfully passed the examination, said employee may be qualified to use all equipment in the Industrial Arts Department. A list of qualified employees may be prepared by the Practical Arts Department Head or Practical Arts Assistant Department Head responsible for Industrial Arts and said list shall be furnished to the Superintendent of Schools, the building Principal in which building the equipment is located, and the Practical Arts Department Head and Practical Arts Assistant Department Head responsible for Industrial Arts.
3. Only qualified employees on said list shall have access or use the equipment in the Industrial Arts Department, and under no other conditions than above stated shall any employee of the West Warwick School Department have access or use of the equipment in the Industrial Arts Department.
4. All employees who are qualified and have access and use to said Industrial Arts Department shall sign a waiver of liability agreeing not to take legal action against the School Department, Administrators, or teachers or fellow employees in case of injury while using said equipment.
