III. J. Teachers' Alliance

The West Warwick School Committee is committed to providing the highest quality educational program for the West Warwick School system in accordance with the highest aspirations of the community and the professional teaching staff.

In striving to achieve it's stated goal with the cooperative efforts of the professional staff, the West Warwick School Committee recognizes the West Warwick Teachers' Alliance, Local #1017, AFT AFL-CIO as the exclusive bargaining agent for all certified personnel in the West Warwick School Department, excluding the Superintendent of Schools, the Assistant Superintendent, Principals, Vice Principals, Deans of Students, Director of Guidance, Curriculum Coordinator and all positions which pay a salary differential above that of a classroom teacher except department heads, athletic directors and all other non-school hour programs.

Together, the West Warwick School Committee and the West Warwick Teachers' Alliance believe that through open communications and cooperation, problems of great concern can be resolved and excellence in education shall be achieved.
